Khushnood Nabizada (born March 27, 1987) is a journalist, diplomat, peace campaigner, and entrepreneur from Afghanistan who lives in the USA. He is the founder and owner of The Khaama Press News Agency, a leading news organization for Afghanistan.
Khushnood worked as the Chief of Staff to the State Ministry for Peace of Afghanistan from August 2020 until August 2021. He is also the owner of the Khaama Press News Agency, an influential news outlet with a special focus on the English language. Khaama Press was established in October 2010 by Khushnood Nabizada, the largest English news service provider in Afghanistan with more exposure to social media and online services.
Mr. Nabizada earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Management and Leadership from Kardan University in 2012. He possesses a unique talent in calligraphy and graphic designing, which adds extra flair to his creativity.
Mr. Nabizada held leading management positions with different renowned business organizations such as Roshan Telecommunications Company, Insurance Corporation of Afghanistan (ICA), and the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing. As a Senior Business Development Executive at ICA, he used to develop marketing and advertisement strategy, and manage overall communications through social media platforms and other available channels. He was recognized as the ‘Most Creative Business Executive’ of the year in 2015 at ICU.
Mr. Nabizada has previously served as Chief of Staff to the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing which is a key executive position in the government agencies from May 29, 2016 – June 02, 2019. He was responsible for overall coordination and communications within the institution’s hierarchy and other government agencies. He was recognized as the most creative Business Executive of the year in 2012 at ICA.
He has also attended several international conferences and workshops in Europe, Canada, South Asia, Russia, and Iran. Taking part in NATO Defense Ministerial Meetings at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium in 2019 is the latest visit he had. Besides getting exposure to the international community, he gained insight into key global issues such as Global Warming and Afghanistan Peace & Reconciliation Process.
He attended the International Symposium under the title of “China’s 70-Year Development and the Construction of the Community With a Shared Future for Mankind” in Shanghai, China from November 5th-7th 2019, and participated in a discussion panel as a commentator.
He also attended the NATO leaders’ meeting which was held in London on the 3rd and 4th of December 2019 as a media expert.
Khushnood is married and has three children, a son, and two daughters.
